Greetings Penguins!

Thanks for all the fabulous comments on our first animated short, "Never Wake A Sleeping Sensei!" We've got some other videos up our sleeves, so stay tuned for more... I know many of you are counting down the days 'til the big Holiday Party and Coins for Change.
Here are a few things happening this week before the party starts:

Coins for Change announcement: Billybob's got some BIG news about Coins for Change to share on the blog tomorrow! You won't want to miss it. :)

The Ice Rink returns! The Stadium transforms into an Ice Rink to kick off the holidays! There will be some new items for figure skating fans there, too...

Card-Jitsu Mats: They're just about ready! Soon members will be able to host Card-Jitsu matches at home with these new igloo items. Sweet!

Field-Ops: The EPF never sleeps, does it? Secret agents, get ready for orders over at the Command Room! Time to earn some more Elite Gear... So what are you most excited about this week?

Earlier this month we announced a virtual coat drive to help support families in need across America. We asked you to send in drawings of penguins wearing coats. We received thousands and thousands of pictures from all around the world! We're so inspired by all the time and effort you put into your drawings. You are amazing!I'm happy to announce that Rockhopper will be appearing in New York City this Friday!! I'll also be there, and can't wait to meet some of you.

Here's what you need to know:

When: Friday December 2 8:00am EST

Where: Good Morning America Studios - Times Square, New York

What to bring: a real coat to donate to the Warm Coats Warm Hearts

Where do knights go to get something to eat?
To an "all knight" diner!

A lot of you tell us the Medieval Party is one of your all time favorite parties in Club Penguin. We're bringing back some of the stuff you said was the coolest... and there will be new things, too.

I've heard tales of a dragon in the Mine... and that the Coffee Shop and Pizza Parlor will be fit for royalty (and jesters, too)! For members, there will be a Knight's Quest that we hope you'll think is really fun.

The Medieval Party will go from May 8 - 17th, so get ready to costume up and use your imagination all over the island!

Screenhog on Sled Race Upgrades!
Hi everyone, it's Screenhog!

Friday is a big day for one of Club Penguin's oldest games. Sled Racing, which is one of the five original games that has been around since Club Penguin launched, is getting some upgrades. First, starting Friday, you'll be able to buy a toboggan and ride down the hill with it. This traditional sled will be available at the Ski Hill, and if you hold it while you enter the game, you'll get to ride it!

Secondly, Sled Racing is finally getting something that most of the other games have always had... music. Have you ever noticed how much cooler games like Aqua Grabber, Catchin' Waves, and Card-Jitsu are with music in the background? Well, Sled Racing is getting some pretty cool music in it too. Of course, if you're the type of person who likes to have the sound off, the mute button in your Settings is still right there... it's okay, we won't be offended! :)

Now, here's one last thing just for fun. Have you ever wanted to see a slow motion replay of the crash your penguin makes in Sled Racing.

In Other News: Billybob just passed on some news about Rockhopper in Walt Disney World in Florida. As you know, Captain Rockhopper will be there from April 30 - May 13. We just found out that he'll be at Disney's Hollywood Studios while he's there, so get out your pirate maps and mark the spot!

Penguins Getting Paid!
Hello Penguins!

Have you ever thought about taking the quizzes to become a tour guide or PSA (Penguin Secret Agent)? If your penguin is old enough, and you're interested in helping out around the island, you might want to consider the challenge... It's going to be announced in the newspaper later this week that starting May 1st, penguins will get paid every month for doing those jobs!

I don't want to give all the details away just yet (Aunt Arctic, the editor of the Club Penguin Times, will have an update soon), but let me say it'll be worth your while. Let us know... What's the first thing you'd do with extra coins every month? Do you like to spend or do you like to save?

Rockhopper in Walt Disney World!
Hello Penguins!

Whenever Rockhopper lands in Club Penguin, things get exciting. You often let us know that you love hanging out with him! So we're thrilled to share some very, very special news - our own pirate penguin, Captain Rockhopper, will be making an in-person appearance in Walt Disney World in Florida!! He'll arrive at the park on April 30th and be there until May 13th. It's a really special event for the community that's possible because we're part of the Disney family, and we're really excited to hear what you think about it!

During the 2 weeks that Rockhopper's in the Park, if you get the chance to go, we'd love to hear what it's like meeting him in-person! We know not everyone will be able to be there, so we'll be posting some updates straight from the event. And (just for fun) we were wondering... If you did get to see Rockhopper there in person, what would you say to him?

Greetings Penguins!

We've got some new furniture coming tomorrow in the Better Igloos catalog. I got a glimpse and I thought I'd ask some questions so you could get a better idea about what's involved in planning furniture fashion around here.

Where do you get your ideas for making furniture and items for igloos?
We love getting ideas from players and it's fun to pay attention to what's going on in the game. If players are saying they want something, we try to make it!

Have you ever considered making couches out of candy?
Yes. I remember there was talk about it around the holidays. So far we haven't but we'll have to wait and see.

What's your fave furniture item of all time?
I really like the Koi Pond because of the animated fish. I have three in my igloo.

We'd love to hear any furniture items you'd love to see designed -- Let us know.

Beta Test Update

Ok, the server crashed already. We took the sledding game offline until we can solve the out of memory problem. Here is a list of bugs we are currently working on:

White puffles announced!!
Many of you have been asking for so long for another kind of puffle to adopt, and I wanted to be the first to confirm that you'll soon be able to make those mysterious white puffles your newest pets. On Friday, you'll be able to visit the Pet Shop and get your very own white puffle from the Adopt A Puffle catalog! All the puffle colors have very different personalities, and from what I've heard, these new white puffles are really unique creatures. Greetings Penguins!

Wasn't the puffle party so much fun? We all adore puffles around here and with all the shouts out to those fabulous furry creatures, I wanted to talk to someone on the team who just can't seem to stop playing Puffle Round-Up.

Why is it that you love the Puffle Round-Up game? I'll admit that I'm not terribly good at a lot of the other games. And I can get a good amount of coinage fairly quickly playing this one.

What's your secret to winning? All the puffle colors act differently when you move them! For example, the red ones sometimes jump out! The pink ones cooperate, but they're slower to respond. (Also, eating chocolate mints as I play helps tremendously.)

How much time do you spend playing? Not nearly enough to get all the things from Penguin Style that I want.

So... Coins or challenge... Why do you love your fave Club Penguin games? We want to hear from you.

Hi everyone, it's Screenhog!
In honor of the upcoming Puffle Party, I dug really deep to find out the history of the puffle. It's hard to believe now, but when Club Penguin launched, there were no puffles at all. At that time, the community of Club Penguin asked if they could have some kind of pet to adopt for their igloo, and we decided that, instead of using animals that already existed, we wanted to make up a completely new creature for the penguins to adopt.
We started sketching some ideas of what a Club Penguin pet might look like, and now, showing for the first time ever, here are some of those original sketches from November 2005:

Some of the ideas were combined, and the puffle as we know it now was born (although we liked the propeller one enough that we gave the green puffle a propeller cap to fly around with). We'd love to know what your very favorite thing is about puffles. plzzz comment

i was going to buy a puffle today and i am not a member and i tried buying a red puffle and it said i needed to be member so i tried the blue and it said the same thing i will email clubpenguin about this.

In Other News: Thanks for your patience with us as we fix these bugs that are causing problems with your puffles. The team is still working hard to fix them!
Here are some tips for using the new puffle furniture:
When their health bars are full, try to not have your puffles eat or sleep. If you do, their health will decrease.
Their health will only increase if you ask them to play, eat, or sleep by clicking their puffle cards.
When your puffles choose to play, eat, and sleep on their own, their health will decrease.
Let us know what kinds of cool things you and your puffles are doing to prepare for the puffle celebration on Friday.

Greetings Penguins!We get lots of awesome comments from Penguins about productions at the Stage. Since Team Blue and Team Red face off tomorrow, (and since it's always cool to learn new stuff), I thought it'd be groovy-cool to talk to someone who works helping to draw the Stage sets.

Do you just read the Stage scripts after they're written and then draw what you want?
We do them together. We draw as the writers are putting in ideas and suggestions.

What's your favorite part of drawing for the stage?
Creating a whole tiny world in one room. Sometimes when I get into it, it feels like I'm actually in a fairy tale forest or in an old detective movie. It's so much fun!

Have you ever drawn candy (or food) for any of the stages?
Well, I've drawn some alien beverages one time... but I try not to draw too much food, otherwise I'd get hungry!-

It'd be awesome to know what your favorite Stage is - and why!

there is a new language to play in it is french to get it hit play and in the top right hand corner is language select,
also Cool stuff is coming on Friday when you'll notice that your puffles will be playing more with their furniture items!! If you've already got puffles and puffle furniture, you don't need to buy more -- just get ready to watch the new ways they sleep, play, and eat. The best part is that their health will increase, too!

You can buy puffle furniture at the Pet Shop in the catalog.
